Down here in the (very) sunny Charente region of France, some 40 Jaguar enthusiasts met at a local winery.  There were around 20 cars, being a mixture of Jags from two beautiful XK120s and an XK140 up to the very modern, together with a few interlopers including a Mercedes Pagoda and a Mustang from across the Pond.  We enjoyed a wonderful tasting of a variety of Charente wines made by François Jobit, the quality of which has rocketed over the last 20 years.  Once our appetite had been whetted, we adjourned to Le Gueuleton restaurant at Segonzac, run by a good friend of our Club, Cedric Rangier, for a marvellous gourmet meal with plenty of liquid refreshment, rounded off by a fine Cognac.  It was all very convivial with a mixture of French, British and Irish participants and we cannot wait to do it all again! .
