WEEK-END IN LES LANDES 21st & 22nd May 2022

A Weekend in Les Lands took place in brilliant sunshine and warm temperatures, the outing was enjoyed by all and visits to the La Bastide of Armagnac with a guided tour was both interesting and informative. Lunch at the Auberge des Chasseurs in Créon d’ Armagnac. was delicious.

In the afternoon the group made its way to Saint Saver which also included guided a tour, returning to our hotels in St Paul les Dax for a rest before the evening dinner.

Sunday took us the the prehistoric history museum in Brassempouy again with a guided tour of the museum which was incredibly informative. That was followed by a visit to a reconstructed prehistoric village and included a fire making demonstration using flint and straw !

At midday the group ate at the Auberge Moulié which presented a superb lunch much enjoyed by all.

Un week-end aux Lands a eu lieu sous un soleil radieux et des températures chaudes, la sortie a été appréciée par tous et la visite de la Bastide d’Armagnac avec une visite guidée était à la fois intéressante et instructive. Le déjeuner à l’Auberge des Chatsseurs à Créon d’Armagnac. était délicieux.

Dans l’après-midi, le groupe s’est dirigé vers Saint Saver, avec une visite guidée, avant de retourner à nos hôtels à St Paul les Dax pour se reposer avant le dîner du soir.

Dimanche, nous avons visité le musée d’histoire préhistorique de Brassempouy, avec une visite guidée incroyablement instructive. Nous avons ensuite visité un village préhistorique reconstitué, avec une démonstration de fabrication de feu à l’aide de silex et de paille !

A midi, le groupe a mangé à l’Auberge Moulié qui a offert un superbe déjeuner très apprécié par tous.
