JECSOFA CHARITY BARBECUE SEPTEMBER 2021 UPDATE

JAGUARS AT MONPAZIER IN SW FRANCE

The JECSOF/A held its annual charity barbecue recently in the beautiful bastide town of Monpazier in SW France.  In spite of a forecast for thunderstorms, the weather was kind and the event was a great success, with a friendly mixture of French, British and Dutch participants.  There was a fine display of Jaguars and other classics, including the Rolls owned by our kind hosts, Ian and Jo Campbell.  The donations and charity draw raised 1500€ for the local fire station, which is not bad for an attendance of 30 people!  We hope to have a full programme of events for next year, following the disruption of recent past.  Our thanks go to all those who gave generously, including some members who were unable to attend.

OUTING TO THE MOULIN DU SAP ON SATURDAY 28TH AUGUST 2021 (scroll down for pictures)

Brian Kaye kindly organised a pleasant and relaxed lunch near St Fort sur Gironde with a display area for our cars.  Six Jaguars were later joined by a Ferrari for our display and fourteen of us had a thoroughly enjoyable catch-up over a drink or two and a very substantial barbecue lunch. The weather was perfect and a couple of us even went on the pedalos after lunch without sinking!  We are always looking for members to suggest and perhaps help with the organisation of events and this outing was very much in that vein and all the more appreciated by those of us regularly involved in the planning of our meetings.  A big thank you to Brian for his help and we look forward to our next outing.
