APRIL: On Saturday the 13th we will be holding our AGM at the Bastide Brewery in Monpazier. Full details will follow – why not stay over and enjoy an evening meal, and on Sunday morning we hope to have a tour around the local area and lunch.

APRIL JECCO: Monthly classic car meeting in Dournazac the last Sunday of the month starting April 2019. The event attracts around 30ish cars plus motorcycleswith lunch organized. The date for April will be the 28th.

MAY: Saturday the 18th is European Museum Night, where a number of museums throughout France and Europe will be open free of charge in the evening. The plan is to visit Perigueux Museum of Art and Archaeology but we are still awaiting confirmation that they are participating. For those who wish to stay over as well as enjoy an evening meal we suggest the Ibis Perigueux Centre.

MAY JECCO: Hope Book Sale on the 17th to 19th May: The proposed date for our visitis the opening day the 17th. The sale is now at a new venue opposite Super U Supermarket in SauzĂ© Vaussais 79190 which is just 8km from the previous venue at Clussais la Pommeraise. This visit will be followed by a BBQ kindly hosted by John and Joy McLennan at their house in 79190 Caunay. Which is about the same distance from the current venue as te venue last year. John and Joy have confirmed that they are supplying the side dishes and the meat to be BBQ’d. And have agreed to us supplying deserts and beverages. However, so that a minimum of food is left over they have asked that the club co-ordinate the quantities of desserts and beverages being supplied. We will supply greater detail nearer the event, when we ask for confirmation of numbers.

JUNE: Monday 17th to Friday 21st the Rioja Roadtrip! Five days and four nights on a two-centre visit to the heart of the Rioja region. Two nights in Logrono and two nights in Haro.

JULY JECCO: Wednesday 10th July with lunch at La Virgule in Chauray. Visit to Chateau Fort (Couday-Salbart) just north of Niort. A castle as opposed to a chateau and a history of support for England. Also has battle recreations. Open Easter to October. We have organized our visit for The plan for the day is to meet at the restaurant at 12:30 for lunch and then travel in convoy to Chateau Fort around 14:30. The trip will be only around 10 minutes.The address of the restaurant is: 83 Rue Andre Bellot, 87180, Chauray. Please confirm your attendance by the 26th June to allow confirmation of numbers for the restaurant.

JULY: Wednesday 17th July there is a visit to Saint Emilion including a tourist train tour with wine-tasting, lunch and a visit to the underground church and monuments. 

JULY: Thursday 25th from 17:00 drive eat dance [FULLY BOOKED] “We are inviting those with classic or vintage cars to take part in a rally through the beautiful countryside in the south of the Charente Maritime, and then afterwards to park in a designated area at the Chateau, which will give the remainder of the specially invited guests an opportunity to admire the cars. There will be a welcome drink on arrival, followed by a BBQ with your choice of either bavette, chicken brochette or salmon served with chips and salad. There will be a bar available.Afterwards live music will be provided by HommeAge. Ticket price is 20 euros per person. Children under 10 free. Please be kind enough to email Louise at lourob93@outlook.com saying how many places you would like to reserve and indicating if you would like to take part in the Rally along with the make and model of car you will be entering.”

JULY: Sunday 28th 14:00 to 18:00 Brantome Police Horses. “After a successful Classic Car Afternoon last year, we are repeating the afternoon. We have more clubs who have registered an interest in being with us this year, so it looks like we shall have lots to look at. We have the lovely Pam Edmunds singing, the horses will be in their stables for visitors and a grand Cream Tea will be available to purchase. This was a lovely afternoon last year, so come back and see us again.”

AUGUST: NEW DATE – Sunday 18th we shall be holding our annual charity barbecue at the home of Chris and Anne Park near Cognac. 

AUGUST JECCO: chateau-de-cherveux:- This Chateau has Scottish connections. Privately owned and in the process of refurbishment. Guided tours are by the live in owners and are by appointment. The actual date will be notified later. Lunch will be organized in Niort as no suitable restaurants have been found local to the Chateau. We know August is the main period for holidays, so if August is difficult for too many members the visit could possibly be delayed to October. Please let us know if you would prefer an October date.

SEPTEMBER: 13th, 14th and 15th Angouleme Ramparts. We have a block booking in the usual hotel, and hope to continue the Saturday Rally picnic.

SEPTEMBER JECCO: Visit La Rochelle. We have been invited by Dufour Yachts to the La Rochelle Le Grand Pavois International Salon Nautique (Boat Show with 750 boats and 800 stands) on the morning of 20th September followed by lunch at a Gourmet Michelin Restaurant in La Rochelle with a free afternoon for shopping and sight seeing.

OCTOBER: 17th, 18th and 19th Loire Chateau ABC! [FULLY BOOKED] Three days and two nights, centred on Blois, with trips to Amboise and Chenonceau.
